Pre-Convention Educational Seminar
October 3, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm UTC+0
Program: Biomimicry in the Built Environment
Description
This is a workshop on a topic that is on the cutting edge of what is coming next and will help architects, designers, general contractors, builders, and building supply representatives apply the science of biomimicry to the built environment. The event is an opportunity to attend a pre-convention educational seminar filled with continuing education credits, live demonstrations, and hands on activities.
Participants, through presentations, discussion, activities, and team discovery, will learn the basic concepts behind biomimicry and how it can open a new way to thinking about how concepts that occur in nature can be applied to the built world. Included in the presentation is an immersion into the natural experience connecting the genius of nature with business opportunities for innovation.
