Camp Architecture Sessions Held in July

Introducing the world of architecture and design to the youngest members of the central Ohio community at Camp Architecture is one of the most exciting ventures every year at The Center for Architecture and Design in Columbus, although a pandemic early in the year threatened 2020 sessions. Undeterred, The Center’s board recognized that there was an even greater need for creative extracurricular experiences for kids in summer 2020, who had spent a good portion of the second half of the school year at home doing online learning. Thanks to a generous grant from AIA Ohio, and support from the architecture and design communities, camp was held the first three weeks of July at The Center for Architecture and Design in Downtown Columbus.

“Thank you for helping us to continue to expand our mission to promote architecture and design, and to help build a diverse and talented pipeline of future architects and designers to address the world’s future challenges,” said Sarah Mills Bacha, The Center’s managing director.
