Public Policies. Public Policies are high level statements that support the AIA Ohio mission. Position statements are specific areas of concern or interest developed in support of public policies. Public Policies and Position Statement serve as guides for AIA Ohio in its government affairs and community activities to ensure that:
– AIA Ohio Public Policies relate to significant issues of public concern that involve the particular responsibilities of the profession of architecture.
– AIA Ohio public policies speak to the issues from the profession’s expertise, thus enabling AIA Ohio to bring to the governing process the unique perspective and abilities of the profession.
– AIA Ohio position statements are framed so as to illuminate the principles at their core, allowing latitude for compatible solutions developed in the course of the legislative or regulatory process.
