ZGF Architects Inc., is currently designing the Critical Care Building expansion at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. We are looking for a Senior Project Architect to join our team, starting no later than January 2018, to assume a significant role in the completion of the construction documents for this important project, and then to continue on as ZGF’s on-site field office representative performing construction administration duties. It is anticipated that during the construction document phase that the location of the position will alternate on a weekly basis between the project co-location design and construction team space in Cincinnati and ZGF’s Seattle office. It is currently anticipated that the new construction portion of the project will be completed in the 4th Quarter of 2021, with subsequent renovation work expected to take an additional 18 to 24 months to complete.
Successful candidates will be self-directed people who take initiative and seek thoughtful solutions to design execution issues with excellent communication and technical design skills. Relevant experience in large, complex, multi-phased projects – healthcare, higher education or institutional – along with the ability to develop and maintain effective, collaborative working relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors is required.
Applicants must have a professional Architectural degree and 15 or more years of related experience. Licensed Architects and Revit skills are required. Healthcare experience and LEED accreditation is preferred.
